PLAYBOY UK RE-LAUNCH PLAYBOY.CO.UK
Next month, Playboy UK will re-launch its flagship web site, www.playboy.co.uk, re-affirming its position as the nation’s premium men's lifestyle destination.
Playboy.co.uk will focus on lifestyle editorial and video content that will be advertiser-funded. More than 10 new editorial channels will provide news, reviews and opinion on all aspects of the Good Life in the UK, reflecting the smart and sophisticated Playboy point of view.
The website also will offer an innovative social network element, giving visitors a new opportunity to interact with the iconic Playboy brand.
“The Playboy brand represents fun, romance and aspiration to men and women all over the world,” said Richard Gale, Director of Marketing, Playboy UK. “With this re-launch, we’re underscoring the heritage of our brand. Playboy.co.uk will present high-quality editorial content on all issues that interest men, in a lively, interactive format that will entertain and inform.”
The move to an advertiser-funded model is in line with Playboy UK’s overall strategy. Playboy UK already has an advertiser-funded television channel on the SKY platform, and an editorial advertiser-funded mobile site will be launched by the year end.
"Our strategy is clear,” Gale said. “Playboy UK is focused on advertising-funded lifestyle content that is developed from our editorial heritage and showcases our expertise on the contemporary Good Life. We'll be delivering on that strategy on all platforms by the end of the year."
